I began making my cast work when I was in France. I could only make my work of blown glass until then. Before that time I felt that making beautiful glass was vain work.I began making my cast work when I was in France. I could only make my work of blown glass until then. Before that time I felt that making beautiful glass was vain work.

During one year I made poems instead of glass. Then suddenly my poems had glass-like form and color. While I was in Marseilles, France, I made twenty pieces, and continued to write poems. After the travel, I wrote new poems in Japan while I was making the rest of the work. During this time I showed sixteen new pieces that I made while thinking the moon was in exile after the travel.

Chappell Gallery is built on a strong foundation of education, the fuel that has driven the art glass movement to its current heights.
Glass art is a global movement; it is far-reaching and speaks many languages.

In addition to representing artists from the United States, Chappell Gallery's founder, Alice Chappell, has sought out artists from around the world.
